Me at the JACON 2007 Masquerade a couple hours before the big events. It was LOADS of fun. seriously.

The dress was a big hit too! What can I say, I like being the center of attention. :shrug:

I do, however, have a huge nasty bruise from where mother laced up my corset wrong and it dug into my side where it wasn't supposed to. In my opinion that's the only time corsets aren't comfy. When they're worn incorrectly (or cheap ass, plastic-boned excuses for a corset.)

I love how you make your costumes fluffier and more realistic! Some people that hand make gowns make it look like a drab, flat, store-bought Halloween costume, lol. But you add volume, I guess you could say.

Ah you mean the use of the 6-bone hoop skirt and the petticoat? Yes, they're quite essential to the time period and they really do add a lot to the dress.

ah not really. My hoop skirt cost about $20, and its very well-made. And my petticoat was closer to $40 I believe, maybe $35.
